About
I’m Mohammad Oumari. I build games and apps in Vienna, and lately the engines underneath them. 23 of my apps are live on the App Store right now.
I started as a game developer working in-house for several companies, which is where I learned the part that isn’t programming: that a shipped thing beats a better unshipped thing, every time, and that the gap between them is almost never technical.
Most of what I build now goes to markets that big studios skip. Arabic party games designed right-to-left rather than translated into it. German and Austrian exam prep for people whose visa depends on passing. A Kurdish trivia game. These audiences aren’t small — they’re just underserved, and the competition is usually a PDF.
The other half is depth. A game engine in Rust designed so a language model can read and rewrite any scene. A motion-graphics renderer with a strict staged pipeline. An LLM stack — tokenizer, kernels, training engine, runtime — written from nothing, on the argument that a laptop is poor in training compute and rich in everything else. That work doesn’t ship to a store. It’s where the interesting problems are.

Timeline
2026
Engines and models
Mirage, an AI-native game engine in Rust. MotionForge, a Rust motion renderer. local-ai, an LLM stack with no framework under it. The year of building the layer below the apps.
2025 – 2026
Arabic and German markets
Twenty-plus Flutter apps shipped: Arabic party games and puzzles, German and Austrian exam prep, translation and bureaucracy tools. Built for people the App Store mostly forgets.
2021 – 2023
Testing at volume
Thirty-four hyper-casual prototypes, built and put in front of paying traffic through Homa. Most were killed by the numbers inside two weeks — which was the point. The fastest education available in what makes someone tap once and then tap again.
Earlier
Game developer, in-house
Worked as a game developer for several companies. Unity, C#, and shipping to a schedule that somebody else set.
2018 – 2021
The hyper-casual era
Fourteen Unity titles on the App Store. All since delisted. Where I learned that finishing is a separate skill from building.
